Wheat Grass

We've got some of this trying to grow by our back door right now!
It's been fun to teach Jay about growing things. Gets me more excited to have a garden someday!

New Years Eve Tradition

I saw this fun idea on kojodesigns about a couple of ideas to do for New Years. I haven't ever done anything real productive on this holiday so this would be a fun idea! Not that getting together with family and eating, hanging out and staying up till the wee hours of the morning isn't productive...:)

Vinyal Shamrocks...or anything els

I don't know why, but I think these are SO CUTE! I'm not big into St. Patrick's Day or shamrocks, so I'm thinking of different holidays/occasions to use them for. I just love the shiny smooth vinyl combined with the split peas!!! Found on MADE

Fun and Unique Wreath

Ok I'll be honest. When I first saw this I thought "hmmm...I'm not sure about this one..." but now, about 24 hours later, i REALLY like it! And how fun to be able to change the color so quickly and easily. Just think about holidays and seasons! So I'm not sure where the idea originated, but I found these on MADE who did them out of acorns which I think is my favorite, but where in the world would I get acorns?!

and then I saw this on All Things Thrifty and she did it out of Lima Beans! HA! (Love the big ribbon on this one.)

And then she added a picture of her friends version of using nuts, (who knows what kind they are ?!) and adding a wooden letter of the first letter of their last name hanging in the middle. Love that.

and here is my version (done months later :))

Debit Cards

this is SO FUN! A personalized debit card specifically for Valentine's Day, but if you wanted to be brave you could come up with your own. (not me :)) Idea was found at a new blog, Jcards

And this one, too leaves it a little bit more open as a "love card". This was found on yet another fun new blog, Love-Actually which I am really, really excited about. It's a whole blog for cheap fun dates! Who doesn't love that?!

Flag in a Window

I really, REALLY love this! Alot! I'm a "modern country" girl (at least that's what I found out from the intro to home decor class I took in college) when it comes to home decor and style, so this is right down my alley. Very easy, very cute. The hardest part would probably be to find an old window! Idea is from The Creative Crate via U Create. BEAUTIFUL!

Pretty Tree

Isn't this a refreshing little piece of decor? I love it. I'm late in doing it for Easter this year, but there's always next year right?! Very very cute. Thanks 2 Clever Blog

Big Daddy Size

I have found so many fun things for Father's Day this year! And here's another one. I happen to have a father who loves rootbeer, so I'm sure he'd get a kick out of this one. Found on 2 Clever Blog

Okay isn't this the cutest thing you've ever seen?! People are so clever! I'm just glad they all post things online so uncreative people like me can pick up their ideas! This comes from Bakerella who even includes the templates for the fry holders and tissue paper.

Father's Day

This is an adorable idea!! I'm loving it. Brassy Apple gave the idea of doing this year after year to see how much the kids change. Fun for a Grandpa too, and you could use "Papa" (perfect for Todd) or GPA or the full Grandpa. Here's another example. Very, very fun! If I get on the ball I think I will be able to pull it off for this year. hmm...

...(written a week later) I DID IT! And it turned out so cute! (even though it's a horrible picture) Thanks again Brassy Apple for the great idea!

a new blog and a fun idea!

I found yet another creative blog. Hooray! And on that blog (from someone Kari at U Create) I found this tutorial to make placemats. I'm really excited about this one because there's so many different things you can do. Holidays...seasons...special occasions...they each can have coordinating cute table decor!
